Online Resources

The library is open from 8.15am to 4.30pm daily, including lunchtimes. It is also open during the holidays on dates that are announced in the school newsletter.

St. Paul's Circulation Policies are designed to permit prompt and equitable access to all Library materials. The staff are focused on meeting the needs of staff and students. Please try to return resources by the due date to allow fair access for other staff and students.

Students enjoy many different activities in the library as it is a central location from which many different groups function.

Bar Codes
All borrowers are registered on the library's computer system. Students are issued with a student ID card which is to be used for borrowing, photocopying and reservation purposes. This must be presented for identification purposes and to ensure accuracy and speed with circulation transactions. Please take care of these cards - i.e. avoid exposing them to magnetic fields, bending, soiling or breaking them. Replacement cards are available at a cost within a short time.

Reserves
Materials can be checked for availability on the online catalogue. If an item is on loan it can be put on reserve at the circulation desk. Please see library staff witth your requests. Students will be informed when their reserve becomes available by a note in their tutor roll.

Renewals
Loans can be extended for 1 week for books and other materials by negotiation. Resources must, however, be brought in to complete this request.

Closed Reserve
Materials will be put on Closed Reserve at the circulation desk when a topic is being studied by a large group. Patrons should always check if they are unable to find a resource, as materials may have been placed on Closed Reserve.

Reading Requests & Suggestions
Students who would like to make suggestions for books that the library could purchase (either for recreational reading or study purposes) should write their suggestions on paper to hand to Miss Hill. Please give as much detail as possible. These purchases will then be considered in line with the Library's Collection Development Policy.
