st paul's grammar - community and service

'Community and Service' is one of the Areas of Interaction around which the IB Middle Years Program is built. It is one of the lenses through which classroom activities are viewed daily. It is also an area in which students are encouraged to participate in activities of their own choosing to contribute to the school, local, national and global communities.

# In Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 students are given the task of participating a minimum number of activities in 'Community and Service'. (This minimum will be 2 activities in Year 7, and 3 activities in Years 8, 9 and 10.)

# The aim of these activities is to help students think outside their own experiences and into the world of others. The following links provide useful information...

TO STUDENTS:

These activities will be monitored by your leaders - including Dr Lane, and in Year 7, your Core Teachers. If you have any questions, concerns or comments about 'Community and Service' activities, don't hesitate to see any of these teachers - you will find Dr Lane in the IB office, and core teachers in Year 7 staffroom.

Reflection sheets need to be completed after each activity - available from the link above, in the IB room or the Senior School Library. Hand in to Dr Lane when complete.

Hint: Start planning early, do something you enjoy, have fun!!
